Nancy van Oorde-Spaargaren recalls a remarkable story from her time as secretary of the Aalsmeer Flower Cup, involving a trampoline team from India. The process began with contact with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding their visa application. Nancy sent a list of participants and their accompanying staff, after which the ministry warned that the organization would be fully responsible for the team if anything went wrong.

The ministry advised asking additional questions via fax, such as about the compulsory routine or the roles of the accompanying staff. Their concern was validated when a revised list arrived, showing completely different roles—for example, the physiotherapist was now listed as the trainer. This raised significant suspicion. Eventually, the parents of the participants had to confirm at the embassy that they consented to their children's participation in the international event.

When the team finally arrived, it turned out they had never performed on a Eurotrampoline before and lacked basic skills—even the club's recreational gymnasts were more experienced. This was a unique but strange incident, one that was never repeated.
